Captured Light

A typical, everyday spider web, but it took my breath away. Suspended between two clumps of Arizona Prickly Pear cactus, vibrating so gently in the tiniest breeze, I saw captured within those delicate threads glimpses of jewel-like colors, appearing and disappearing before my eyes. My pastel painting of this wonder includes a few tiny touches of color as I remembered them vibrating on the breeze.

This pastel is custom framed with non-glare UV protection museum glass, priced at $500, with free shipping within the continental U.S..
